Good eggs: Youth Home fundraiser gets artists involved

Several dozen eggs were on display April 12 at Eggshibition, a fundraiser for Youth Home. The plaster eggs -- decorated by Central Arkansas artists and student artists -- were part of a silent auction.

The event was held in the Jack Stephens Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Premier auction items included chef's table seating for six at the food-focused Next Course in October, Youth Home's next fundraiser; an oil painting titled Angles and Curves by Ned Perme; and a progressive dinner for four guests at Little Rock restaurants Dizzy's Gypsy Bistro, South on Main and Ciao Baci.

North Little Rock Police Officer Tommy Norman was the evening's honoree and entertainment was by the Rodney Block Collective.

Youth Home is a nonprofit psychiatric treatment facility that offers a variety of individualized and specialized mental health services including residential and outpatient treatments and school-based therapists.
