Airplane hangar made over for Turning Pointe Gala

The newest airplane hangar at Dassault Falcon Jet was transformed into an elegant venue for Ballet Arkansas' 8th Annual Turning Pointe Gala on March 30.

For a pre-party VIP reception guests were handed glasses of champagne as they entered the gleaming and spacious hangar. During the reception guests enjoyed passed hors d'oeuvres and mingled with the dance company and sponsors. They could also tour a mock-up of the airplane maker's newest jet -- the Falcon 6X.

For the dinner and program, partygoers moved to another area of the hangar. There, lighting created patterns of red roses on the walls, and guests' tables covered with white cloths and red runners were centered with arrangements of red roses. Gala chairmen Stacy and Ivan Wilson welcomed guests. The program included a dance performance of White Swan Pas De Deux and Venture, remarks by director Michael Fothergill and board president Dr. Ahmad Brown and a live auction. The evening ended with dancing to music by Dizzy 7 Band.

Committee members included Lauren Strother, Betty Brinkley Harrison and Viviane Ajarrista. Presenting sponsor for the evening was Parker Audi.
