Two Arkansans were killed Monday when an SUV and a sports car were involved in a head-on wreck on a state highway, state police said.

Kyle W. Holland, 33, of Charleston was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe west on Arkansas 22 around 5:40 a.m. in Sebastian County when the SUV collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro going east in the westbound lane, according to a preliminary report.

Holland and the Camaro's driver, 23-year-old Dylan J. Isakson of Lavaca, died in the crash, which happened east of Bloomer, authorities said.

Conditions were listed as clear and dry at the time of the collision.

There have been at least 352 deaths in wrecks on state roads in 2018, according to preliminary data from state police.
