The Northwest Arkansas Council will soon solicit feedback as part of an initiative to enhance the region's music scene.

The council, with support from the Walton Family Foundation, hired London-based Sound Diplomacy to evaluate the region's music scene, map its music-focused assets -- including performance, studio and rehearsal spaces, music infrastructure, industry and education -- and provide an understanding of music's economic importance to the area.

A public forum will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 25 at George's Majestic Lounge at 519 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville.

Sound Diplomacy representatives will do field research, lead round table discussions and interviews with individuals about the project.

Information about the initiative is at www.sounddiplomacy.com/nwarkansas.
