Two arrested after Van Buren drive-by shooting

A Van Buren man and woman are in police custody on charges of attempted first-degree murder and committing a terroristic act after being accused of shooting at an occupied recreational vehicle early Wednesday.

Police arrested Christopher Murphy, 31, and Kelsey Fry, 20, after witnesses reported a vehicle drove through Overland RV Park on Fayetteville Road in Van Buren about 5:15 a.m. Wednesday and the occupant fired into the recreational vehicle before driving away. No one was injured.

Police located the vehicle about an hour later and arrested Murphy and Fry.

Formal charges have not been filed, police said.
