Rogers Heritage takes second at Paris Lady Eagle Invitational
Rogers Heritage finished second in the Paris Invitational tournament, falling to the defending Class 3A state champion host Lady Eagles 25-15, 25-10 in the finals on Saturday.
The Lady War Eagles went 3-2-1 on the day, knocking off Greene County Tech and Fountain Lake each in three sets in bracket play to advance to the tournament finals.
Kyndall Strickland led Heritage with 22 kills and six aces on the day, while Tayonna Wilson added 20 kills and 10 blocks. Kayley McClain also added 22 kills. Brittney Ware and Berenice Morales contributed 63 and 60 digs, respectively. Josie Stitt and Mary Katie Giesen added 40 assists each.
