Kim Eskew, president and CEO of Harps Food Stores, was recently elected chairman of the board. Rogers Collins served as chairman for the past 17 years. Also elected to the board were Harps employees David Ganoung, vice president of marketing; Frank Ray, vice president of human resources; and Mike Thurow, vice president of store systems. Harps was founded in Springdale in 1930 by Harvard and Floy Harp. The company became 100 percent employee owned in 2001 and has 90 stores in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Dr. Matthew Totten of Washington Regional East Springdale Family Clinic earned the degree of fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Totten received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has been providing family medicine services in Northwest Arkansas since completing his residency at UAMS Northwest, where he served as chief resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
