These stone platters are ideal for cheese and charcuterie boards. The slate boards can be written on using food-grade chalk and feature nonslip, no-scratch rubber feet. The boards are available in several shapes. We tested the 7¾-by-11¾-inch and 11-inch round stones. We were surprised by how lightweight the boards are, thanks to their thinness. Each board is just a quarter-inch thick. The stones' "natural" edge gives them a rustic look. The boards are made by the German company Cilio and sold in the United States by Frieling.
