Western Grove 77, Norfork 47

Luke Lane poured in 20 points and Gage Freeman added 15 to lead Western Grove to the easy win on Friday night.

The Warriors (6-2, 3-1 1A-2) led only 40-28 at halftime, but dominated the second half to cruise to the win, placing five players in double figures. Hunter Baker added 14, Zack Bolin 12 and Carsen Parker 10.

Tyler Sorters led Norfork (7-4, 2-2) with 15 points, while Saul Maple added 11.

Alpena 70, Haas Hall 30

Alpena had three players score in double figures, led by Jonathan Stone's 35.

Corey Holstead scored 15 and Kaden Coburn 11 for Alpena.

Thomas Leonard led Haas Hall (0-3) with 11 points.

Eureka Springs 62, Oark 21

The Highlanders cruised to a 41-point win Friday night.

Garrett Cross led Eureka Springs (7-2) with 20 points. Braden Horinek added 16 and Slade Clark added 11.

Eureka Springs will return to action at home against St. Paul on Tuesday.

Pea Ridge 53, Flippin 35

Pea Ridge outscored Flippin 17-6 in the third quarter to pull away and take its second win in as many days at The New School Classic.

The outburst helped the Blackhawks (2-0) turned a 28-20 halftime lead into a 45-26 cushion after three quarters.

Nick Coble had 21 points and Wes Wales 12 to pace Pea Ridge, who returns to action Tuesday with a home game against Charleston.

Calico Rock 81, Omaha 69

Calico Rock claimed a 37-31 halftime lead and remained unbeaten with a victory over Omaha.

Cole Whiteaker had 31 points to lead a trio of Pirates (8-0) in double figures, while Clayton Smyser added 14 and Cade Whiteaker 11. Trey Stone led Omaha (1-6) with 22 points, followed by Seth Lippe with 17 and Dillon Gant 16.

Women

Colo. School of Mines 53, UAFS 40

Sammy Van Sickle had a team-high 15 points, while guard Anna Kollmorgen and Nicole Archambeau had 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the opening game of the Conference Challenge at Volk Gymnasium in Golden, Colo.

Senior guard Daijah Brown scored 12 points to lead the Lady Lions.

Men

Colo. State Pueblo 90, UAFS 83

Donavan Oldham scored a team-high 26 points in the Nissan of Wichita Falls Conference Challenge.

UAFS trailed by 11 points at halftime and that deficit swelled to 16 points when Colorado State-Pueblo's Corey Seng scored a fastbreak bucket to give the Thunderwolves a 63-47 advantage with 15:24 left to play.

The Lions answered with a 17-4 run over the next six minutes to cut their deficit to three points (67-64) on a jumper by freshman guard Matiss Sivins with 9:17 left in the game. UAFS, however, couldn't close the gap any more.

Chris Crawford led the Lions with 26 points, while freshman post David Ekezie had 18 points and freshman guard Matiss Sivins had 12.

MidAmerica Nazarene 75, JBU 68

Three players scored in double figures and Mid-America Nazarene dominated the second half.

Dante Scroggins scored 24 for MidAmerica. Kellan Turner added 15 and Jonathan Green 14.

Jake Caudle scored 17 for JBU, which led 41-36 at halftime. Josh Bowing and Desmond Kennedy each scored 11.

Arkansas All-Stars sweep Oklahoma

Arkansas placed six runners among the top nine girls and defeated Oklahoma 23-35 in Saturday's all-star meet at Rogers.

Rogers sophomore Ali Nachtigal, the Class 6A girls champion, led Arkansas as she finished second with her time of 19 minutes, 10.53 seconds. Julia Clark of Van Buren was third at 19:25.47, followed by Lauren Turner of Cabot at 19:33.36.

Arkansas' boys all-stars were also victorious, edging the Oklahoma team by an 86-93 margin. Oklahoma had the top four runners, but Arkansas had 10 of the next 11 finishers to claim the win.

Colby Swecker of Lake Hamilton, who finished third in the Class 5A meet, led Arkansas with his fifth-place finish as he was timed in 16:19.87, less than two seconds quicker than Luke Walling of Cave City.
