Pieces 'N Patches
The Pieces 'N Patches quilt group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at First Presbyterian Church, 1901 S. 26th St. in Rogers. There will be a trunk show presented by Mary Pumphrey.
The group meets at 12:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month for programs and at 10 a.m. on the third Monday for workshops. Snacks will be served on program days, and participants should bring a dish for potluck on workshop days. Visitors are welcome.

Bells of Peaceset Nov. 11
Gov. Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed Nov. 11 as "Bells of Peace: World War I Remembrance Day." The Arkansas WWI Centennial Commemoration Committee is calling on people and organizations around the state to ring bells 11 times at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 to celebrate the end of World War I and to remember the millions who fought, suffered and died in what was hoped to be "The War to End All Wars."

Flower, Garden and Nature Society of Northwest Arkansas will welcome Janet Carson to their meeting at 10 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences, 1371 W. Altheimer Drive (off Garland Avenue) in Fayetteville. Carson is horticultural specialist for the University of Arkansas Agricultural Extension Service and program coordinator for the Arkansas Master Gardener program, which she founded 30 years ago.
