Democrats offer only lies; Republicans deserve vote

Lots of letters lately that seem more like paid political ads, hit pieces run for free by this paper. Imagine that. I’m wondering exactly what the wonderful Democrat Party is offering us. I’m also having a hard time comprehending their logic.

For example, the people who are screaming about children being “ripped” from their mother’s arms because of illegal immigration charges are the same people who fully approve of babies being ripped from their mother’s womb, being dissected and sold as body parts.

John Brummett is outraged over a lady politician being “smeared,” totally outraged, and yet I didn’t see his outrage at the smear job done on Justice Kavanaugh.

They rant about the tax cuts given to only the 1 percent, and that because of that the GOP is going to have to cut Social Security. Look at the actual figures: Everyone that pays taxes got a cut, and the top 1 percent still pays the lion’s share of income tax. But here’s the real kicker: Social Security is funded with the payroll tax deduction that you pay and your employer pays every pay period into the SSI trust fund. Think about it, SSI is not funded with income tax money. What they’re telling us is a blatant lie!

If you believe immigration should be done through our legal channels, and not illegally, then you are a bigot and a racist. If you believe in laws and family values, you are not welcome in the Democrat party. Truth is most Democrats hate Christians; the Bible doesn’t approve of lifestyles the Dems have embraced.

And perhaps the most totally unreal statement comes from the lady senator from Hawaii who said, “Men need to shut up and stand up and believe the women,” women have no reason to lie. All these centuries have passed and it comes down to the realization that truth is determined by your genitalia. Really not all that simple since we now know gender is a matter of choice.

I’ve always suspected that just because you have been elected to public office doesn’t mean you have any gray matter between your ears. The lady senator has confirmed that. The Dems are not offering anything but lies and have no plans for leading this nation. They are too fixated on their hate for Trump.

The economy is great and we are once again respected on the world stage. Vote Republican. G.W. WEEKS

When it comes to voting, listen to hero of Hudson

Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III, who saved 154 people when his airliner made an emergency landing on the Hudson River, recently wrote, “In every situation, but especially challenging ones, a leader sets the tone and must create an environment in which all can do their best. You get what you project. Whether it is calm and confidence — or fear, anger and hatred — people will respond in kind. Courage can be contagious ... This Election Day is a crucial opportunity to again demonstrate the best in each of us by doing our duty and voting for leaders who are committed to the values that will unite and protect us.”

I hope all Americans will recognize and respect courage and wisdom in our candidates, and vote for leaders who will unite us with calm confidence.
