The 206 Field Artillery Regiment of the Arkansas National Guard tested the L119A3 105mm towed Howitzer in a live fire training operation.

Gun crews were at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center in Fort Smith to test the upgraded weapons.

The L119A3 105mm received new components including a digital control firing system.

The upgraded L119A3 and the addition of the M777A2 Lightweight 155mm Towed Howitzer designates the 206 as a composite artillery battalion.
