A 36-year-old Marianna man was shot while he was riding a bicycle Tuesday, an affidavit shows.

According to the document, Marianna police found Marlyce Harris lying on the front porch of a Georgia Street residence with “what appeared to be blood on his pants.” He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his condition was unknown Friday afternoon.

Harris told police he was riding his bike on Jarett Alley when a tan Buick came up behind him. Demetrious McFadden fired several shots, and Harris was struck multiple times, the affidavit states.

Officers noted that six shell casings were found at the scene.

A passenger in the Buick told authorities that McFadden had said he was going to shoot Harris, according to the affidavit.
