The man agreed to meet a person who would buy his phone at Mountain View Apartments off East Huntsville Road, according to reports. After he gave the phone to Breanna Evans, she didn't pay him and ran to a car. He chased her and got in the car.

He said someone in the car took his wallet, and he was attacked by both women and an unidentified man and woman who later fled on foot, according to reports. Lashuntie Evans stabbed him in the hand and drove the car to Beard's Funeral Chapel, where police found them.

Lashuntie Evans also was arrested in connection with a robbery April 11. Two women met her at Wilson Park through the app Letgo, an application connecting local buyers and sellers. The women wanted to buy an iPhone, according to the reports.

During the transaction, Lashuntie Evans took $600 and her iPhone and used pepper spray on the women, according to the report. One of the women identified Lashuntie Evans in a lineup, and police connected her to the incident through the phone number used in the transaction.

Cpl. Dallas Brashears, Fayetteville police spokesman, sent a notice Tuesday reminding people the department has a safe exchange area in the station's parking lot and lobby.

"Fayetteville residents can feel safe conducting business in a well-lit parking lot or in the lobby that is monitored with video cameras," Brashears said in the notice.

Lobby hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the parking lot is available anytime, according to the notice.
