Chowder, bisque, gumbo and stew were among the offerings at the 37th annual Soup Sunday on Jan. 27 at the Statehouse Convention Center's Wally Allen Ballroom.
Twenty-seven local restaurants lined the walls of the ballroom serving samples to hundreds of guests, many of whom came prepared with muffin tins to hold multiple soup samples. The event's featured chef was Capi Peck of Trio's who prepared Thai Coconut Chicken Soup. Centering the room were tables of sweets and breads.
The fundraiser for Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families included a children's area with ice cream and activities, a disc jockey and dance floor, silent and live auctions and a photo booth.
Event co-chairmen were Brian Clary and Jill Fogleman.
