A man was arrested Sunday in connection with a Springdale shooting that killed Javier Nicolas-Rodriguez of Bethel Heights.
With the assistance of the United States Marshals Office and the California Highway Patrol, Anjel Torres, 18, was located and arrested at about 9:15 p.m. in San Bernardino, Calif., according to a press release by the Springdale Police Department.
Torres was arrested in connection with 1st degree murder, a terroristic act, engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise and aggravated assault.
Police found Nicolas-Rodriguez, 19, of Bethel Heights, about 3 a.m. Dec. 6 in a vehicle that had crashed in the drive of 1659 Pioneer St., in the northeast part of Springdale, according to a Police Department news release. The police report said he died of an apparent gunshot wound.
