The Garden Therapy committee goes to Apple Blossom Retirement Center once a month and does a hands-on workshop with the seniors. In October they decorated pumpkins for the residents to display. Omni Center

The Omni Center's monthly Climate Book Forum will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Anne Henry Board Room at the Fayetteville Public Library.

The Book of the Month is Energy Democracy: Advancing Equity in Clean Energy Solutions, edited by Denise Fairchild and Al Weinrub. Energy Democracy draws upon some of the most exciting voices in the growing movement for a new energy economy.

The presenter and coordinator of the discussion is Shelley Buonaiuto, a leader of the book forum, prominent writer and speaker on climate change, and a founder and leader of the local Climate Change Lobby.

Pieces 'N Patches

Pieces 'N Patches quilt group will meet at 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at First Presbyterian Church, 1901 S. 26th St. in Rogers, for their annual Christmas luncheon and auction. The silent auction will take place from 10:30 noon with the luncheon following. The live auction will start at 12:30 p.m.

The group meets at 12:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month for programs and at 10 a.m. on the third Monday for workshops. Visitors are welcome.

Hope Cancer Resources offers a new support group for myeloma patients, caregivers and loved ones. The Northwest Arkansas Myeloma Support Group will be co-facilitated by a 22-year survivor and will provide education, support and the opportunity to share personal experiences. Christian Women

The Bella Vista Christian Women's Connection will meet from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 Lancashire Blvd.

The theme will be "Christmas Melodies," and the feature will be the Bella Vista Women's Choir. The speaker will be Tom Buchhorn of Bella Vista, who will speak about a "Double Life." Men are invited.

The brunch is held the second Tuesday of each month, and an all-American breakfast is served for $10. The program is sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries.

Stitched With Love will meet at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 11 at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, 1300 N. Davis in Pea Ridge. Bring completed quilts and batting scraps to stuff pillows, and scissors.

Members will be doing a Christmas sock exchange in additional to a cookie exchange and finger foods. Members are encouraged to bring copies of their favorite recipes. New members are welcome.
