BENTONVILLE -- A Springdale man was arrested Saturday in connection with raping an 11-year-old girl.

Luis Rodriguez-Torres, 21, of Springdale was being held Tuesday on $100,000 bond in the Benton County Jail. He was arrested in connection with rape.

Prosecutors haven't filed a formal charge against Rodriguez-Torres.

Benton County Sheriff's Office deputies were called at 2:24 a.m. Saturday concerning the rape of a girl, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The girl reported said Rodriguez-Torres texted to meet her and he raped her after she arrived at that location. The girl said she asked Rodriguez-Torres to stop but he didn't and she couldn't get away from him, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The girl was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center.

Rodriguez-Torres' arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. Sept. 4 in Circuit Judge Robin Green's court.
