SPRINGDALE -- The new owner of Daylight Donuts on West Sunset Avenue said renovations led to the store being shut down for three days, longer than the one day the store is typically closed.

Phil Biggers and his wife, Reyna, own the shop and reopened in mid-March.

"It's a good name with good donuts," Phil Biggers said.

The Biggers brought in new decor and are looking at adding fruit cups to the menu. They will continue to serve donuts, sausage rolls, biscuits and gravy and other breakfast items.

If any local sports teams win a game, Biggers encourages to come in and talk about their game to get a free donut.

Daylight Donuts is open from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 2576 W. Sunset Ave. Tuesdays to Sundays.
