SHERIDAN -- Bennie Kemp rushed for 165 yards on 11 carries, scoring 4 touchdowns, to lead Little Rock McClellan (1-0) past Sheridan (0-1).
Kemp scored on runs of 10, 54, 61 and 7 yards as McClellan led 44-6 by the end of the third period.
Sheridan's Brayden Sites passed for 112 yards, completing 11 of 23 pass attempts. He also threw a 17-yard touchdown to Hunter Threlkeld.
Tommy Crumpton opened the scoring for McClellan with a 43-yard run in the first quarter. Kyreek Lair added the two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.
Sheridan came back quickly with Sites' touchdown pass Threlkeld, but the two-point conversion try failed.
Kemp scored McClellan's next three touchdown to give the Lions a 30-6 lead. McClellan's Tyrse Lair completed a 70-yard touchdown pass to Jaylin Cunningham with 26 seconds left in the first half for a 36-6 lead.
Kemp's final touchdown, a 7-yard run, came with 9:04 left in the third quarter. Jaylon Williams capped the Lions' scoring with a 6-yard run with 1:12 remaining in the game.
Sheridan's A.J. Allen returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown with 45 seconds remaining.
