SHANNON WURST — Local award-winning songbird Shannon Wurst will perform a kid-friendly concert at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Fayetteville Public Library as part of the Super Saturday Music Series. By turns plaintive and playful, Wurst’s songs wade into the deep waters of lost love, winding rivers and smalltown gossip before setting their lyrical sights on lighter fare. Since her debut in 2007, Wurst has firmly established herself at the intersection of every-man folk and Americana rooted in the traditions of Kasey Chambers, Alison Krauss and Dolly Parton. shannonwurst.com. Dana Cooper -- Out of the heartland of America, Nashville singer/songwriter and "powerhouse" troubadour Dana Cooper dedicated himself to a life of music more than 40 years ago. This song poet engages and inspires audiences around the world with his quick wit, insightful stories and commanding presence, and his mixture of flat-picking, finger-picking and percussive strumming style is legendary among other guitarists. Cooper will give an intimate performance at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Sunrise Stage in Fayetteville. 439-9267 or sunriseguitars.com. $15.
