Siloam Springs man sentenced for raping 6-year-old girl

BENTONVILLE — A Siloam Springs man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday after he admitted raping a 6-year-old girl.

Dustin Robison, 39, pleaded guilty to rape, a Class Y felony. The plea came under an agreement attorney Steven Kay reached with Carly Marshall, deputy prosecutor.

Robison was arrested Feb. 12. His arrest came after Benton County Sheriff Office deputies responded to a call concerning the rape of a child. A man told a deputy about claims that Robison had sexually abused the girl, and a woman showed the deputy the girl’s drawing of stick figures that contained sexual images, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The girl was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County where she provided details of being sexually abused by Robison, according to court documents.

Benton County Circuit Judge Robin Green accepted the plea agreement and Robison’s guilty plea.

Robison was sentenced to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He will have to serve 70 percent of his sentence before he will be eligible for parole. Robison must also abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 15 years after his release from prison.
