A Little Rock man was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle wreck in Osage, Arkansas State Police said.

Victor Williams II, 23, of Little Rock was traveling east on Arkansas 412 in a 2007 Toyota Corolla when he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the centerline, hitting a westbound 2012 Ford F-150, state police reported. The wreck occurred about 9:20 p.m. Monday.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.

The driver of the Ford, Stephen Turner, 35, of Fayetteville, was not injured.

State police also said a Locust Grove man died Monday in an Independence County crash.

Calvin Cooper, 41, of Locust Grove was killed when his 2003 Dodge Dakota collided with a 2004 Dodge Ram driven by Michael Canard, 25, of Desha, state police reported. The wreck happened about 5:20 p.m. Monday.

State police said Canard was traveling west on Arkansas 14 when he crossed the centerline into eastbound traffic, hitting Cooper's truck.

Canard was injured in the wreck and transported to White River Medical Center, according to state police.

Conditions were clear and the roads dry at the time of both crashes, state police said.
