A man was arrested early Monday in a beating at a North Little Rock restaurant, police reported.

Officers responded about 1:50 a.m. to Waffle House at 2505 McCain Blvd. They found Pedro Omar Baez-Esperanza, 30, holding a metal chair and standing over a bloodied James Corn, according to an arrest report. Corn had multiple cuts and bruises to his head.

Witnesses said Baez-Esperanza had walked into the restaurant and attacked Corn, the report states. He purportedly punched Corn multiple times before striking him with the chair.
