Governor sends LR state workers home at noon

by The Associated Press | February 4, 2011 at 10:20 a.m.

— Gov. Mike Beebe says state workers in Little Rock are to go home at noon because of the snowy weather. Supervisors of state workers elsewhere in Arkansas are to decide whether the wintery weather is bad enough to warrant early dismissal.

One to 3 inches of snow is expected in central Arkansas on Friday, and the southern half of the state is already coping with icy and snowy roads.
