WEDDINGS: STEPHANIE LYNN BOERNER JAMES MEEK SHEPPARD II

— The Cathedral of Saint Andrew was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 1, for the marriage of Stephanie Lynn Boerner and James Meek Sheppard II. Monsignor Lawrence Frederick officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Janis Boerner and David Boerner, both of Little Rock. She is the granddaughter of Ann and Ben Frietsche, Elizabeth Waddell, all of Fort Smith, and the late James Boerner.

Cecile and Dr. James Sheppard of El Dorado are the parents of the bridegroom. He is the grandson of Dorothy Medlin, the late Dr. Julius Sheppard and the late Aubrey and H.W. Clay, all also of El Dorado.

Nuptial music was by organist Phil Bordeleau and vocalist Jennifer Hui. Readers were Cole and Conor Herget, both of Little Rock, and Walter Herget of Memphis.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory silk gown with a draped sweetheart neckline and trumpet skirt. She carried a pink bouquet of peonies, hydrangeas and roses.

Kelleigh Ann Boerner of Little Rock served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Anna Allbritton and Dr. Brita Deacon, both of Little Rock; Jessica Finan of New Orleans; Sarah Greer, Theresa Lincicome and Sarah Vick, all of Fayetteville; and Melissa Spears of Tulsa.

They wore onyx-colored satin one-shoulder gowns and carried bouquets of hydrangeas, roses and orange ranunculus.

Flower girls were Sage and Salem Colburn of Fort Smith, cousins of the bride. Ring bearers were Nathaniel and Andrew Sheppard of Durham, N.C., nephews of the bridegroom.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Julius Sheppard V of Durham, N.C., and Whitney Sheppard of Fayetteville, brothers of the bridegroom; Charles Dodson of Pensacola, Fla.; Dr. Andrew James of Roeland Park, Kan.; Matthew Reynolds and Dale Smart, both of El Dorado; and Charles White of Birmingham, Ala.

Guests were seated by JamesIngram Jr. of El Dorado; Willis Israel of Birmingham; Peter Phillips of Charlotte, N.C.; James Pilkinton of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and McCabe Reynolds of Little Rock.

A reception at Chenal Country Club followed the ceremony. Music was by Memphis Soul Revue.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She is a member of Junior League of Northwest Arkansas and the Children’s Safety Center Event Committee. She is employed as a senior financial analyst at Tyson Foods Inc. in Springdale.

The bridegroom has a bachelor’s degree in political science and religion from Hampden-Sydney College, Hampden-Sydney, Va. He was president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and chairman of Inter-Fraternity Council. He owns Gamedaysuitesupply.com and Healthygreeks.

The couple will live in Fayetteville after a wedding trip to Antigua.
