STREAMSIDE PROTECTION: Group Targets Ordinance
I think it is wise to be aware of this issue. However I think it is an unfair burden on people who bought their property before the ordinance was made. They are faced with a change they did not agree to when choosing their property and which may directly affect resale value.
Moreover, if you have ever watched the downhill flow from many of the hills around these creek areas you would know that much of the damage arises because of what happens in the unregulated areas uphill(such as chemicals and erosion...including after the city uses a backhoe to remove all vegetation in drainage ditches which allows soil to erode.)
I think much more education about runoff is in order for the WHOLE CITY. Just this past week they were washing paint rollers next door to me....with the runoff going into the streetside ditch.

School bus crashes; no kids reported injured
Prayers and heartfelt thoughts to the driver and family. This is my daughter's bus and the driver is a wonderful person. Fayetteville school bus drivers do an amazing job and deserve to be honored for their calling.

Congress race not for Barnett, cites funds ban
Though I sincerely accept the statements of postponing fundraising made by other candidates facing the same rule, may I say, kudos to Mr Barnett for his honesty and integrity. Sir, you are an admirable person and a model for others.

BETWEEN THE LINES Drop Everything And Run
Let me chime in here right away to note that I know one candidate for the 3rd district personally and he had shared with me his intent distinctly prior to Boozman's decision. Steve Lowry may not have the name prominence of some of the others but he has been working behind the scenes for some time to prepare for this, including retiring from his previous occupation, returning to Fayetteville, and freshening his edge as a lawyer by attending seminars. Admittedly he was debating the potential for what arena to run in which made it look like he jumped in with little thought to the 3rd district race, but he was ultimately committed to run for public office in 2010 so decided to embrace the opportunity. He has stepped out...and up...to a big challenge of course, but he is a a very capable person.
May the best man win.

Boozman departure for Senate run draws Gravette man to race
Obviously there are many awesome candidates out there. Probably every one of them could qualify for the statement you made "will be a great congressman." My hope is for the people to ask questions and hear from each candidate....then speak intellegently with their vote. May the best man (or woman) prevail!

Rogers mayor joins U.S. House race
I would be proud to see real change in the status quo....a real man (or woman) of the people. To me that is not necessarily a vote for Mayor Womack.

Retired DEA agent plans run for House
Mayor Womack has the ability to claim success based on the unusual demographics that Northwest Arkansas represents. The larger issues facing the state and the nation would surely give him a run for his money. That, to me levels the playing field immensely as he has had very few real challenges to face in many of the areas he is stating his prowess in.
Evaluating each candidates individual knowledge and experience related to politics and economics outside NWA is important. Discovering their broader vision for this seat in Congress is the only way to choose a viable candidate. Selecting purely on the basis of history rarely offers a visionary option.
The people need to speak with their votes for something different than a status quo "experienced" polititian.
