Postal Study Perplexes Some
That's less than $350 per day to pay a driver, fuel. tires, maintenance and pay for the truck. Whoever came up with this plan should be the one losing their job.

Center Receives Expansion Ideas
Nice start - some suggestions from looking at the schemes:
Keep the open parking lot between the Arts Center and Georges for parking and temporary festivals etc...
Utilize the triangle space in front of the arts center for the 600 seat club or something else. Design a facade and a wrapper for the old arts center that is less pretentious and keeping with the funky Dickson Street vibe.
Hold multistory parking garages at least a 1/2 block away from Dickson Street.
Break down the various component uses to as small of volumes as possible. Maintain a village scale with a variety of spacial connections.
Just a little known architect's opinion...

Health Official Supports Center For Nonprofits
What is the cost for remodeling the existing space to meet the needs of the department? Is this included in the purchase price? This has not been reported to my knowledge. Anyone know?
