Trial Nears For Solid Waste Lawsuit
District Urged To Hold Hearings On Fees
CENTERTON — The Benton County Solid Waste District could face $340,000 in damages when it goes to court with Roll Off Service next month. Roll Off, a trash hauler, sued the Benton County Solid Waste District and the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District in July claiming state law allowed the districts to charge fees only for the disposal, treatment or other handling of waste by the district.

BENTONVILLE — A bill to regulate soccer goals across the state will undergo several changes before it is voted on by the Arkansas Senate. Sen. Cecile Bledsoe, R-Rogers, previously said the bill would remain unchanged in the Senate after it passed in the Arkansas House of Representatives, 81-7. Nine members didn’t vote.
