Northwest Arkansas — Arkansas ' largest state park was largely unknown to most Arkansans until the opening of a new visitors center in May. Prior to that, many of the people who used the 12,000-plusacre Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area thought of it more as a wildlife management area where hunting was allowed.
