Founded in 1828 by settlers from Tennessee, Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church has used its current building for more than 130 years. The small, white building sits on a foundation of stacked stones and logs. Its timeworn hardwood floors creak underfoot. The Southern Baptist congregation is already at work in New York, Indianapolis and Denver, as well as countries overseas including the Dominican Republic and Malawi, Africa. The Springdalebased megachurch has been planting churches for years, starting roughly 40 congregations in the past decade.
