Area kayakers learned the basics of paddling or honed their technique at Beaver Lake on Saturday, July 21 with instruction from one of the nation's top kayakers, Mike Herbert of Rogers. Herbert was a member of the U.S. Olympic Canoe/Kayak team and competed in kayak events of the Summer Olympics in 1988, 1992 and 1996. Photos by Flip Putthoff
