Lake Taneycomo is close enough to the Branson, Mo., music shows that anglers can almost hear the harmony. Rainbow trout keep fishing lines tight as a banjo string during the summer at Taneycomo. Phil Lilley, owner of Lilley's Landing Resort, used jigs and flies to catch several trout during an evening of fishing on Aug. 23. Lilley uses PJ's Finesse Jigs made in Fayetteville. Evenings have provided the best fishing lately, as Lilley proved while fishing the upstream portion of Taneycomo. Staff photos by Flip Putthoff
