Christopher Ferguson, (above) left, holds back a rope Thursday used as a height guide as David Henson, both employees with the Rogers Parks Department ball crew, drives a pole into the middle of the Rogers High School Mounties’ outfield to make a new fence line for the upcoming softball season at Veterans Park in Rogers. The baseball fields are shortened from 300 feet to 205 feet. The temporary fences for the softball fields are 4 feet tall.
