Taylor Roberts, 8, savors every last bite of frosting Wednesday from her cupcake during the Northwest Arkansas Reading Council’s “Tea, Literacy and Me” party at the Metroplex Events Center in Rogers. The event gathered about 800 second- and third-grade girls from Farmington, Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville together to promote and encourage literacy skills, manners and etiquette.
