This data shows 207 accidents that resulted in the death of a pedestrian or pedestrians from 2007 to 2011, the five most recent years of data available from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System, which is run by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Data from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System may not exactly match data from local agencies due to differences in classification and reporting — classification and coding of incidents varies between departments. For example, the 2011 death of a woman who was run over by her sister after falling off the hood of the car is not recorded as a pedestrian fatality by the Springdale Police Department, but is listed as such in the system.
