Ralph Henry Wooldridge

Ralph Henry Wooldridge, 66, of Rogers died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 15, 1952 in Russell, Kan. the son of Patricia Ann Battin and Ralph Henry Wooldridge. Upon graduation of Mountain Home High School, Ralph immediately went to work in retail where he spent many years in management. He started his career at Sterling Stores and spent 14 years as a store manager at Otasco before he made a transition to WalMart. After successfully serving as store manager in Brenham, Texas, Ralph was tapped to open new stores on the west coast as the store manager in both Las Vegas, Nev., and Lodi, Calif. He had a great passion for business and served as President of Kiwanis Club. Ralph was an entrepreneur and most recently owned a small business in Lowell, Ark. Ralph lived by saying: "Enterprise For Yourself." As a great mentor to friends and family, he was a reader and believer in continual learning as evidenced by his vast book collection. Ralph was most known for his encouraging sentiment, of which he was sure to share with anyone he came across over a cup of coffee or on the golf course. Ralph was preceded in death by his father. Ralph is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Wooldridge, of Mountain Home; one son, Matthew Wooldridge and his wife Brandi, of Rogers; two daughters, Christi Cessna and her husband Mitch, of Arizona, and Shelley Simpson and her husband David, of Rogers; the mother of his children, Brenda Shipley, of Springdale; three brothers, Carl Wooldridge and his wife Penne, of Mountain Home, Marcus Wooldridge of Mountain Home, and John Wooldridge and his wife Faith, of Mountain Home; one sister, Barbara Qualls, of Mountain Home; nine grandchildren, Haley Cessna, Arlon Cessna, Caleb Cessna, Payton Simpson, Madison Simpson, Katelyn Simpson, Callie Wooldridge, Lillie Wooldridge, and Josie Wooldridge. A celebration of Ralph's life will be: Monday at 11 a.m. at Chapel on the Creeks, located in Rogers with Pastor Jamie Lantzsch officiating.
