Sue Strebel

Sue Strebel, 91, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Sept. 1, 2018. She was born Oct. 23, 1926 in Prescott, Ark., to Jones and Mamie (Ellison) Garrett. Sue was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched countless hearts with her sweetness, kindness, and love. She was a homemaker who loved to collect recipes, crochet, visit with friends, and play dominos. She will be very deeply missed. She became one of Jehovah's Witnesses at the age of 25 and remained a faithful servant the rest of her life. She loved sharing good news from the Bible with others and helped several along the way to learn Bible truths. She relished the Bible's promise of a future resurrection and a paradise earth when pain and death will be no more (Revelation 21:3, 4, Psalms 37:10-11, 29, Acts 24:15, Isaiah 26:19). Her family and friends eagerly look forward to seeing her again soon when she will be young and healthy again (John 5:28, 29). Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 55 years, Leonard Strebel; her parents; two brothers, Junior and Kenneth; and three sisters, Pauline, Ruth, and Rosalie. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn; three children: Leona Shoemaker, Linda Murphy, and Jerry Wayne Brigham; 12 grandchildren: Rance, Jordan, Marlea, Shem, Michael, Andrea, Kory, Brian, Charlotte, Donnie, Christie, and Carrie; and many great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a large spiritual family of brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, nieces, and nephews who have loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2837 N. Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703. Arrangements are entrusted to Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. Condolences, memorials, and memories: www.WestfieldChapel.com.
