Betty Brady Young

Early Friday morning, October 19, 2018, Betty Brady Young, of Bella Vista, Arkansas left her earthly home to be in her heavenly home. She was born on December 4, 1925, in Van Buren, Arkansas to Matthew Frank Brady and Helen Louise (Robinson) Brady. She graduated from Wagner High School (Oklahoma) in 1943. She served in the United States Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II and graduated from Baptist Nursing School in Muskogee, Oklahoma in 1946. She worked as an R.N. in Muskogee and Tulsa, and finished her nursing career serving in the U.S. Indian Health Service in Claremore, Oklahoma. She married Robert E. Young in 1946. They lived in Muskogee, Tulsa, and Claremore, Oklahoma and moved to Bella Vista in 1984. She and her husband were among the founding members of the Village Baptist Church in Bella Vista, where she was active in the church prayer ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Helen Louise Thompson, three of her brothers, Frank Curtis Brady, David Lawrence Brady, Robert Leonard Brady, and her husband Robert Young. She and Robert were married 62 years. She is survived by two sons, Dr. Michael Edwin Young and his wife Carol, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; Mark Robert Young and his wife Angela, of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter Krista Elaine Young Malone of Bentonville, Arkansas; two brothers, Paul James Brady, and his wife Pat, of Mountain View, Arkansas, Carl Owen Brady, and his wife Merna, of Frederick, Colorado, sisters-in-law Charlene Brady of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Kathy Brady of Choctaw, Oklahoma and thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, five great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at the Village Baptist Church on Friday, October 26. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. at the church, followed by the service at 2:30 p.m. and the graveside service at Bella Vista Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Village Baptist Church, or Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. Special thanks to the staff at Circle of Life who provided loving care to our mother in the last days of her life here on earth. One last note; if you were to have met our mother, Betty, and visited with her any time at all, she would have said, "May I ask you a question?" You would have said "yes, of course."
