Lyman Andrew Ferguson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born on November 1, 1928, in Habberton, Arkansas, to James W. and Minnie Ella (Stone) Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Prosser; three sisters, Vera Ward, Velma Milsap and Ruby Hagan; and one brother, James Ferguson. Lyman served his country through his commitment to the Naval Reserve from 1947 to 1955. He then went on to work a career of more than thirty years in the oil industry. Lyman was a member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ and developed many lasting relationships through his involvement. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Ferguson of the home; his three children, Sherri Howell of Springdale, Tom Ferguson and wife Cindy of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jude Ferguson of Lake Elsinore, California; his six grandchildren, Jason Bergman, Jeanne Merritt, Kimberly Lunn, Dane Ferguson, Eddie Prosser and Nicky Prosser; and thirteen great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Habberton Cemetery in Springdale with interment to follow.
