Lee Roy McMillan

Lee Roy McMillan of the Fayetteville Veterans Home, arrived at his heavenly home on February 27, 2018. Lee Roy will rest in peace at the Fayetteville National Cemetery on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. Family and friends should meet at Beard's Funeral Chapel (Fayetteville) at 1:30 p.m. for procession to the cemetery. Born October 1, 1937, he was preceded in death by his parents, Carman and Mary (Hanson) McMillan of Bentonville, Ark.; a brother, Vernon McMillan; a son, Dennis Dwayne McMillan; and a daughter, Brenda Lea McMillan. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Smiley McMillan; three sons, Rusty (Alicia) McMillan of Yamaranguila, Honduras, Dennis (Tessy) McMillan of Bentonville and Lee Roy McMillan II of Fayetteville; and two daughters, La Vonn (Danny) Foreman of Decatur and Ronda (Kenneth) Vaughan of Bethel Heights. He is also survived by sisters, Onita Brandon, Wanda (Troy) Lovell and Mary Jane (Dale) Hepler; and brother, Roy Gene McMillan; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Lee Roy lived most of his life in northwest Arkansas as a farmer, television technician and auctioneer. He served his country honorably as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force. He enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing, hunting and racing cars. He always enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and raising flowers.
