Julian "Junior" Forquer, Jr., 94, lifelong resident of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away July 28, 2018 at his residence in Bentonville. He was born September 7, 1923 in Bentonville to Julian and Frona "Jim" (Blevins) Forquer. He served in the United States Army Air Force in Europe during World War II as a glider mechanic. Following the service, Junior was parts manager at Burger Chevrolet in downtown Bentonville for many years and later retired from McGaugh Auto Parts. Junior joined the First Methodist Church in Bentonville April 2, 1939 and was a faithful member. His hobby was woodworking, making beautiful pieces of furniture for his family and he enjoyed caring for his yard. Junior was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Fleta (Johnson) Forquer; two sons, Mike Forquer and wife, Barbara of Bentonville, Tony Forquer and wife Beth of Ozark, Mo.; two daughters, Karen Clark and husband, Greg of Bentonville, Marilyn OBrate and husband, Mark of Bentonville; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 6:00pm, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Graveside services will be at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Bentonville Cemetery with the Rev. Kurt Boggan officiating. Military honors will be provided.
