Shirley Maxine Curtright, of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 82 years old. She was born February 6, 1935, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Ruben Pinky and Velvia Katherine (Brewer) Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband C.H. Curtright, and a grandson Kenny Andrews. Shirley and her husband C.H. (who was born October 18, 1932) were married on August 21, 1984. She worked many years in the women's department at K-Mart, while C.H. worked as a pharmacist for Walmart. After they retired, they both spent their time doing what they loved: yard saleing and flea marketing. Shirley absolutely loved her dogs Brandy, Chelsea, Keta, Sam, and Jacob, and was sometimes accused of treating them better than her own kids. Each dog had their own baby car seat. When Santa was in town, she would load them up in their car seats and take them to have their pictures taken with him. She was a long-time member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. Shirley and C.H. were married until his recent passing on January 1, 2018. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Kathy Mabry and her husband Junior of Fayetteville, son, Bobby Williams and his wife Debra of Springdale, son, Paul Williams and his wife Bonnie of Prairie Grove, son, Ruben Williams and his wife Connie of Centerton, and daughter, Karen Andrews and her husband Stephen of Muldrow, Oklahoma; two step-children, Kelly Curtright and his wife Tracey of Flint, Michigan, and Andre Megaleine of Fort Collins, Colorado; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many other family, friends, and loved ones. A Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 1, at 10 a.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral home. Service will follow at 11 a.m., with burial immediately after at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
