Myrna Jean Koenen

Myrna Jean Koenen of Bentonville passed away on January 16, 2018. She was born on May 30, 1944 in Belmond, Iowa to the late Melvin Pannhof and Tena Finn. She was the wife of Larry Koenen. Myrna worked as a nurse, healing and helping people, but all life flourished under her care. She kept a beautiful garden. She and her husband loved all dogs and took care of strays of all kinds. Myrna will be remembered for her knack of finding a way to make the best of even the hardest situations. Her survivors include her husband, Larry; daughters, Teresa Benge and partner John Eikens of Lindstrom, Minn., Carrie Koenen of Des Moines, Iowa; sons, David McVicker and wife Kim of Des Moines, Rick Koenen of Othello, Mo.; brothers, Gary Finn and wife Kim, Mike Finn and wife Cindy; sister, Donna Hoffmann and husband David; numerous grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dogs, Louie and Darla. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by daughters, Pam and Nancy Koenen. All are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 19 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday in Bentonville Cemetery.
