Sharon Kay Pennington, 68 of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away February 24, 2018 in Fayetteville. She was born August 7, 1949 in Alhambra, Calilf. to Jack Crippen and Donna (Gustin) Crippen. She was retired after 15 years in the admissions office at Washington Regional Medical Center and was a member and former pastor's wife at Buckner Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Crippen and her husband, James Pennington. She is survived by two sons, Mike Pennington and wife Forestina of Rogers, Ark., Mark Pennington and his girlfriend, Jenn Hudson of Fayetteville, Ark., her mother, Donna Crippen of El Monte, Calif., two sisters, Sheila Crippen Thomas and husband Richard of El Monte, Calif., Penny Infante and husband Pete of Mexico City, Mexico, six grandchildren, Kallie, Kaden and Kole Pennington, Monet Reavis, and Abby and Chrystal Hollaway, two great-grandchildren, Syble and Harley Reavis. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Moore's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 28th at Buckner Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Pastors Larry Mitchell and Mike Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Drake's Creek Cemetery in Wesley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon Pennington memorial fund, c/o P.O. Box 8982, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703.
