Mr. Roy "Laird" Lindquist (Swede), of Bella Vista, AR, passed away on Thursday February 1, 2018 at the age of 74.

Laird was born on August 28, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from Elkhorn High School, He spent the next 4 years serving his country in the Navy. Laird began working as a parts manager for the John Deere Company, retiring after 33 years of service.

Laird and his wife Judy moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2002. For the next ten years, Laird worked part time for TH Rogers Lumber Company. During his time at TH Rogers, Laird was known for being the go to guy when someone needed help.

Laird was an avid John Deere collector. He roamed the countryside looking for anything John Deere green. He enjoyed showing off his John Deere tractors and toys in local parades and toy shows. Laird loved hanging with friends and always made new friends wherever he went. Laird bled John Deere green through and through.

Laird is survived by his wife Judy of Bella Vista Arkansas, Sister Mary Heiman of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Brother Monte & Ginny Lindquist of Las Cruses, New Mexico. Step-sons Mike Plambeck of Omaha Nebraska, Doug & Kim Plambeck of Red Oak, Iowa. Step daughters Laura Mousel of Omaha, Nebraska, and Leann Rigatuso of Omaha Nebraska. 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Laird was preceded in death by his parents Roy & Grace Lindquist of Elkhorn Nebraska. Step-son Scott Plambeck of Omaha Nebraska.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel located at 2258 Forest Hills Boulevard in Bella Vista Arkansas.
