Norman LaMotte

Norman F. LaMotte Jr., age 91, of Fayetteville passed away Monday August 27, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born September 9, 1926 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Norman F. LaMotte Sr. and Catherine LaMotte. He is a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He is a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. He married Maurine Fake LaMotte September 8, 1949. He worked for Swift and Company in St. Paul, Minnesota and later opened a restaurant in Glendive, Montana for twenty years. He later moved to Milwaukee where he worked as a dietician. He moved to Springdale working in the Springdale Public Schools running the cafeteria and teaching a dietary class. He moved to Eugene, Oregon running the Meals on Wheels program and Lane County Jail foodservice program. He moved back to Northwest Arkansas in the early nineties. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Maurine LaMotte; two daughters, Mary Louise LaMotte and Lori Ann Morman. He is survived by his son, Tom LaMotte of Fayetteville and five grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday August 31, 2018 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with burial of ashes in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O.
