Mildred Milli "Gigi" Hood of Springdale passed away Saturday August 4, 2018. She was born August 23, 1931 in Madison County Arkansas to Oscar and Rosa Teague Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Rex Hood and her sisters, Eula Mae McClelland, Mary Terry and three nieces. Milli lived and worked in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1951. She worked for Ozark Electric Company, Fayetteville Public School Administration, Winwood Realty, a Domino's Pizza franchisee, and was an optician. She was a published poet, loved reading, gardening and was a devoted Razorback fan. She was a member of Johnson Church of Christ, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Hedrick and her husband Greg of Springdale; one son, Randy Hood of Springdale; two sisters, Laura Hughes and her husband Herbert of Farmington, Arkansas, Carol Edwards of Conway, Arkansas; one brother, John Watkins and his wife Deborah of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; two grandchildren, Lance Millsap and his wife Cathy and Cassie Hedrick, one great granddaughter, Karley Millsap and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Johnson Church of Christ. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Johnson Church of Christ with burial to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville.
