John Sterling Frost Sr

John Sterling Frost, Sr., age 88 of Pulaski, Tenn., went home to be with JESUS on Saturday, April 7, 2018. John was born in Davidson County to Bessie C. and Miles G. Frost of Brentwood, TN on November 8th, 1929. John served our country in the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He had a long career as a carpenter in Middle Tennessee with many years spent with TVA. He also farmed and thoroughly enjoyed working with the livestock. John battled the effects of asbestosis for the past several years. After retirement, most of his time and efforts were spent with the Giles County Senior Citizen Center. Services will be at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday, April 14, 2018. The visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with funeral service following at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home, with Bro. Doug Plumlee officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a family-only graveside service with military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, John requested donations be made to Giles County Senior Citizen Center, 100 Senior Citizen Dr., Pulaski, Tenn., 38478; 931-363-6610. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years, Frances E. Frost; two brothers; and a sister. Survivors include: five children; Son, Sterling (Libby) Frost of Greenbrier, Tenn.; son, Frank (Linda) Frost of Cumberland City, Tenn.; son, Mike (Carole) Frost of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter, Wenona (Richard) Young of Pulaski, Tenn.; daughter, Sheila (Dean) Anderson of Centerton, Ark.; and brothers, George, Jim, Kenneth, and Woodard Frost. John is also survived by nine grandchildren: Carrie Frost, Christopher Frost, Derek Salter, Kim Underwood, Ben Goodrich, Meredith Hoffmeyer, David Frost, Mackenzie and Tucker Anderson. He also is survived by eight great-grandchildren. Bennett-May-Giles County funeral home is in charge of arrangements for John Sterling Frost, Sr.
