Kathryn Yvonne "Kathy" Mayhue, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 near Mountain View. She was born May 24, 1960 in Cleburne, Texas. Kathy was an adventurous and respected nature photographer capturing the beauty of the world through her lens. She also enjoyed time in the outdoors including hiking and fishing. She was very involved with events at Hobbs State Park and was a founding member of the Friends of Hobbs. Kathy was dedicated to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Above all she loved and followed Jesus. She lived by the standard of "if what you see by the eye doesn't please you, then close your eyes and see from your heart because the heart can see beauty and love more than the eyes could ever wonder." Kathy is survived by her husband, David Mayhue, of the home; one son, Jonathon Mayhue and wife Amanda, and their children, Magnus and Atticus, of Västerås, Sweden; her parents Roger and Beulah Marvin of Springdale; and two sisters, Bonita Harding of O'Brien, Ore., and Laura Nave of Springdale. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Keypoint Church Springdale campus. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Hobbs State Park Visitor's Center with a reception to follow. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Bluff Cemetery for family and close friends.
